Suzanne Ryan
Child Trends

Suzanne Ryan, Research Associate, has been involved in research on family demography for approximately 7 years. She has collaborated on projects examining fathers and father involvement, including co-authoring a chapter in the forthcoming Assessing Father Involvement book, as well as contributing to Charting Parenthood: A Statistical Portrait of Fathers and Mothers in America. In addition, her research has focused on adolescent sexual relationships, non-marital childbearing, union formation,and healthy marriages. Dr. Ryan has extensive experience in the sophisticated quantitative analyses of multiple nationally representative data sets (including the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health, Panel Study of Income Dynamics, and Early Childhood Longitudinal Study-Birth Cohort). She has expertise in the use of advanced statistical modeling techniques including logistic and multinomial regression, multilevel modeling, longitudinal data analysis, factor analysis, and controlling for selection effects and unobserved heterogeneity.
