Gregory Hancock University of Maryland
Gregory Hancock, Professor in the Department of Measurement, Statistics and Evaluation at the University of Maryland, College Park, has been actively working with the methods of most interest in this proposal, including Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and latent growth modeling. He is past chair of the SEM special interest group of the American Educational Research Association and serves on the editorial boards of several methodological and applied journals such as Child Development and Structural Equation Modeling. He has published in educational and measurement journals on aspects of measurement, effect sizes and power, MIMIC methods, bootstrapping approaches to model test statistics and estimation of standard errors, factor analysis, multiple comparison tests, and tests statistics in SEM. In recent years he has collaborated with educational researchers on mediational analyses of child development of the type proposed for this project.
